Photo Journal: Old Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane

In a part of London that has been known for its markets for hundreds of years, I thought I’d take a journey there to see what it was all about. I was definitely not disappointed. Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane are two areas of London I will definitely be frequenting. Perhaps it’s my Pacific Northwest, hippie roots that make me love a good street market, but I was so happy to wander around in the Shoreditch area today. Once I have money, I will be making sure to come back and get my fill of vintage photos, coins, leather bags and try more of the delicious-looking food that the vendors have to offer.

  1. Somewhere I think I read of your interest in sewing or fabric. If that is so, don’t miss Goldhawk and the Man Outside Sainsbury’s.
